Porto Heli in the Saronic & Argolic & East Peloponnese sailing area, Greece:

Porto Heli (or Porto Cheli) is located in the Southernmost part of the Peloponese coast in the Saronic & Argolic sailing area and opposite Spetses island (2NM). A pine-covered peninsula surrounds the bay and creates a large, natural, safe harbour for many sailing and motor yachts.

Porto Heli is one of the most popular and cosmopolitan tourist resorts in Argolida mainly for Greek people and lately for many yachtsmen looking for nice coves to swim and safe shelter to moor or anchor.

Porto Heli is picturesque village which offers sightseeing, beautiful beaches, a variety of shops, waterside tavernas with fresh fish, restaurants, cafes and a couple of nightclubs and late bars.

Numerous attractive coves and beaches for all tastes are definitely another reason why it is worth visiting Porto Cheli. Some of the most famous beaches are Hinitsa (full of pines and white sand), Ververonta (mostly for the youngsters, with a very nice beach bar) and Ag. Aimilianos (which consists of many small coves and a fish taverna). Other beaches you can swim in are Limanakia, Kosta and Korakia. Some of the beaches are organised offering various facilities and watersports.

During your stay in Porto Heli, you may visit the ancient city of Alieon on the South side of the bay. Some of the ruins (both on land and in the sea) are still visible nowadays. Other interesting sites near Porto Heli are the caves at Didyma (twins), Koilada (a nice fishing village) and Kranidi (a village unspoilt by tourism).
