Lefkas marina in Lefkada island/ Ionian sailing area:

Lefkas Marina, located E of the island next to the main harbour of Lefkas, is the first of our two charter bases (the other one is Gouvia marina in Corfu island) for the Ionian Islands. It is a private marina which operates since 2002 offering high standard of services and modern facilities to the guests. Lefkas marina, with its large capacity (620 yachts up to 45 meters in length and 3.5 meters draught), is considered one of the finest marinas in the Mediterranean Sea.

How to reach in Lefkas yacht charter base:

Lefkas is the only island in Greece connected with the mainland by a floating bridge (toll-free) and a narrow causeway. This makes Lefkas an easily accessible island. More specifically, it can be reached by air (via Preveza airport) by both charter and domestic flights, by sea from Kefalonia and Ithaki island and by road.

Meeting point & Moorings in Lefkas marina/ Ionian Sea:

The Galazio Sailing meeting point is directly onto the yacht.

When approaching Lefkas yacht charter base, you will get directions through VHF, while the marina’s pilot boat and the dedicated staff will greet and lead you at your berth. Berth stern-to or bows-to the pier advised, mooring lines are available in all berths.

Useful tips:

• Lefkas marina is open all year round on a 24-hour basis. You can radio the marina office or the Duty Officer on VHF channel 69
• During summer, the prevailing wind in Lefkas Island blows from NW-W at force 3-6 Beaufort scale
• Lefkas Canal provides a passage for yachts down the E coast of Lefkas. Yachtsmen should pay special attention into the canal and stay into the separation system (buoys). Attention is needed of the shallow water into the strait
• During the day the floating bridge of Lefkas is programmed to open hourly. Between 21.00h and 06.00h a call is required in order the bridge to open
