Alimos (Kalamaki) marina in Athens is our prime yacht charter base (the other one is Lavrion port in Athens) so as to sail the Saronic & Argolic Gulf, East Peloponnese coast and Cyclades islands. Below, you can see the map & a general description about Alimos marina.

Alimos (Kalamaki) marina in Athens mainland:

Alimos marina is located South-West of Athens in Alimos (or Kalamaki) city. It is one of the largest marinas in Greece and the Mediterranean Sea. The marina, with 1100 permanent berths, is the yacht base for lots of Greek yacht charter companies and private yachts throughout the year. It is not only the main starting point for sailing around the Cyclades and Saronic & Argolic Gulf but also the base with very many options in available yachts & possible better prices than any other one in Greece!

How to reach in Alimos/ Kalamaki yacht charter base:

Assuming you will land in Athens Airport, getting to Alimos charter base is relatively easy as there is great network of buses, taxis and the new tram line combined with the metro.

Meeting point & Moorings in Alimos marina/ Athens:

Alimos (Kalamaki) marina/ yacht charter base

Most - Galazio Sailing - yachts are moored in pier Number 3 in Alimos (kalamaki) marina and the meeting point is directly onto the yacht.

When returning go stern-to, mooring lines are available.
Note: You must not use anchors.

• The Entrance coordinates of Alimos Marina are East: 23º 01' and North: 37º 52' and depth in meters vary from 2 to 7
• The area of Saronic and East Peloponnese is well protected with safe waters and calm winds (NW-N 2-4 Beaufort scale). During summer period, the weather is pretty good with high temperatures and long-standing sunshine days
• Yachtsmen should pay special attention to the reef of Aghios Kosmas and to the Mermingia rocks both SE of Alimos marina to the direction of Cape Sounio
• Shopping: There are NO supermarkets or other shops inside the marina area. Outside the marina (West entrance on a 10min. walk), there is a supermarket where you will find most of your supplies. You may also pre-order your provisions by filling in a list (let us know and we will e-mail you one) so you can have everything brought to the yacht upon arrival
• Food: A very nice place to eat near the marina is Vassilis tavern with good food and reasonable prices. Simply ask any of our staff and we will point you to the right direction!
• Do not forget to make a stroll in Athens centre and visit the Acropolis, the Parthenon, Plaka old town, etc
