Skiathos charter base is situated at the North end of Skiathos main port. The airport is only a 5-10 minute ride from Skiathos marina and the public ferry-port is at a short distance (approximately 600m on foot) from the yacht berths. Skiathos Island can be reached either by air or by sea.
The easiest way to reach Skiathos, is without a doubt a charter flight. Many European tour operators such as Thomas Cook or Thomson airways arrange charter flights on a regular basis directly to Skiathos island. If you are looking for direct bookings for charter flights, you may check Excel airlines which flies to Skiathos and AirBerlin which flies to Volos airport. However, taking all the above into consideration, our advice would be to consult your local travel agent for all available options in charter flights.

Skiathos is also catered by domestic flights from Athens, run by Olympic Airlines on a daily basis. Flight time is approximately 50 minutes and the price may vary from Euro 65 to Euro 90 depending on the period.

If you prefer to reach Skiathos by sea, make sure you know what kind of “discomfort” you are about to face.  Basically, there are two ports which serve Skiathos. One is Ag. Konstantinos port (180km or 112miles North of Athens) and the other is Volos port (320km or 199miles from Athens).

Both these ports can be reached by coach (KTEL) from Athens main coach station in Kifissos. However, you have nothing to gain by getting the coach to Volos, so Ag. Konstantinos is your best bet. How do you get to Ag. Konstantinos port? Once you land in El. Venizelos international airport, you can get the X93 bus that runs every 20-40 minutes to Leof. Liosion coach station (you can check timetable here). The ticket will cost Euro 5. From there, the coach departs for Ag. Konstantinos port every one hour. The ticket costs Euro 15,70 and it is a 2hrs 30ʼ drive.

An alternative way to reach Ag. Konstantinos port is by a special coach bus that is arranged by Alkyon Travel Agency. The special point is that such bus coincides with the ferry timetables (so you will not have to wait long) and that you can pre-book your tickets (both the bus and the ferry/ hydrofoil). The bus departs from Kaniggos Sqr. (right next to Omonoia in the heart of Athens) and it costs around Euro 16.In any case, a taxi from the airport straight to Ag. Konstantinos port may be the easiest solution. A pre-arranged transfer at a small extra cost can also be arranged by GALAZIO SAILING.

Hydrofoils (or so-called flying dolphins) as well as ferries have daily routes to Skiathos from both Volos and Ag. Konstantinos. For further information on ferry schedule and prices you can visit http://www.hellenicseaways.gr/ or http://www.greekferries.gr/.When looking at timetables for the ferries, keep in mind that they get “published” about 3 weeks in advance. That means that you cannot see the actual schedule of the ferries before that time. However, most companies have a “fixed” schedule for some ferries that is valid throughout the year.
