Two weeks before your embarkation we send you the final boarding instructions, the meeting point, our representatives’ names and mobile numbers so as you assist yourself accordingly. In parallel, we should receive from you the following:
1. Flight number, arrival time, final number of passengers
2. Crew-list (passport numbers, full addresses, emergency phone numbers)
3. Copies of skipper’s and co-skipper’s sailing licences or one sailing licence (skipper) plus one sailing resume (co-skipper)
4. Provisioning list completed (if client wishes to)
Keep in mind:
Transportation from the airport to the harbour/ marina or the opposite can be arranged in advance. We can provide (upon car availability) a bus or a minibus, limousine or taxi at an extra charge payable upon yacht embarkation.
For arrivals after 18:30, we strongly recommend that you should ask us to arrange a transfer service from the airport directly to the yacht.
In the event we have received your provisioning-list at least 10 days before embarkation, our staff will deliver provisions directly to your yacht (always upon availability). Otherwise, supermarkets or smaller grocery stores are available in all bases a few minutes on foot.
Extra provisions such as skipper, hostess or steward, windsurf, spinnaker, blister etc should be ordered at least one month prior to starting point. Needless to say that we will try to “cover” last minute requests but we cannot guarantee availability.
Boat’s Check in:
According to the contract, the embarkation time is at 17:00h but the yachts are usually ready earlier. At that time we will briefly inform you about the weather forecast, hazards, boat’s delivery & re-delivery etc. We will also remind you how to handle an emergency situation or even common problems, where/ how to seek for help as well as settle any of your query. After that, we will go through the inventory list and explain all technical things onboard. The so-called “acceptance statement” or hand-over form should be then signed by your side and any loss or damage that you may notice should be marked down there. Do not forget that the port authorities may demand to see your original skipper’s license, so please make sure you hold them with you. If the security deposit or any other financial matters have not fixed in advance, they will take place there as well.
Boat’s Check out:
According to the contract the disembarkation time is at 09:00h. All clients are kindly advised to re-deliver the yacht the night before. Check-out time should be pre-arranged in case of an early flight back or other reasons. At that time, the base manager along with the skipper/ co-skipper will check again the yacht with the same inventory list they had gone through during the check-in process.
NOTE: The time needed for check-in/ check-out is part of your charter time.
