Cabin charters are a kind of boat holidays that refer to couples, individuals or big groups which have little/ no sailing experience or cannot afford/ desire to charter an entire yacht privately. In such a case, one just rents a double cabin in a boat (WC, double or two single beds included) & shares the rest boat with other guests for a particular period of time.

The most common vessels for cabin charters are the so called gullets which are traditionally built wooden yachts. Big sailing yachts, motor sailers & cruisers are also possible vessels for such holidays.

On a cabin charter basis, the prices, the extras & the crew members included onboard depend on the boat size & range. However, they usually include an all-inclusive package price with skipper, hostess or cook and engineer as a crew & full or half board nutrition (beverages, drinks usually not included).

The entire trip-schedule is pre-fixed (route, swim stops, ports) including all common activities on a yacht such as swimming, sightseeing, relaxing, sunbathing etc.

The main advantage of a cabin charter is that guests meet people from different nations around the world & visit the best possible islands/ places while enjoying their sailing trip in Greece & the Greek islands. Also, it is usually less expensive than chartering an entire boat. Obviously, there are disadvantages mostly because guests’ plan is not as flexible as they wish to or because of noise onboard, different mentalities or habits, frequent frictions etc.

Galazio Sailing does not offer cabin charters in Greece. However, there are several Greek charter companies that offer such vacation to the Greek islands. Google it!
