Gouvia marina is situated approximately 7km (or 4,3 miles) from the airport of Corfu and 6km (or 3,7 miles) from Corfu town and can be easily accessed by air, by sea and by coach bus to Igoumenitsa (and Corfu).

By Air:

Corfu airport caters to many charter flights from various European cities as well as domestic flights from Athens and Thessaloniki. Some of the charter companies that fly directly to Corfu are: AirBerlin, Transavia, Excel airlines, TUIFly and Wizzair.com. However, it is always recommended to consult with your local travel agent for more options and availabilities.

Domestic flights are run by both Aegean Airlines and Olympic Airlines on a daily basis from Athens and Thessaloniki. Flight time is about 1 hour from both Athens and Thessaloniki and the ticket (the economy one) costs Euro 80 to Euro 190 depending on the season and the availability.

Several public buses connect the airport with the town. A taxi directly to the marina is the quickest way. It will take about 15 minutes to get to Gouvia marina and will cost about Euro 20-25.

By Sea:

Corfu port has numerous ferry services to various major ports. The most frequent ferry departs from Igoumenitsa port several times a day for Corfu. It takes about 1-1½ hr to get to Corfu and the ticket costs about Euro 6-10 (depending on the type of boat).
You may also get a ferry to Corfu from Patra port in the Peloponese mainland as well as Bari, Brindisi and Venice ports in Italy. Some of the companies that have daily routes to and from Italy are Minoan Lines, Superfast Ferries and Blue Star Ferries.
For more information on all ferry timetables, you may visit http://www.greekferries.gr/.
When looking at timetables for the ferries, keep in mind that they get “published” about 3 weeks in advance. That means that you cannot see the actual schedule of the ferries before that time. However, most companies have a “fixed” schedule for some ferries that is valid throughout the year.

By Road:

If your plane lands in Athens International Airport, you may also get a coach bus to Igoumenitsa (and Corfu). First you must get to Kifissos main coach station, which means you have to take the X93 bus from the airport (you can check timetable here). The coach has 3 scheduled departures for Igoumenitsa (and Corfu) on a daily basis and travel time is about 7½ hrs for Igoumenitsa + 1½ hr for Corfu with the ferry (470km or 292 miles drive from Athens). Tickets cost approx. Euro 45 + Euro 6-10 for the ferry.
